Vice President, Operations Excellence
Date: 20 Oct 2026
Location: SG
Company: Digital Edge DC
Who we are:
Where performance meets sustainability, Digital Edge is a leading provider of sustainable, next-generation, AI-ready digital infrastructure across Asia Pacific. Backed by Stonepeak, a global alternative investment firm specializing in infrastructure and real assets, Digital Edge has over US$1.6 billion in committed equity capital from some of the world’s largest institutional investors and sovereign wealth funds.
Since our founding in 2020, we have rapidly scaled across key Asia markets, operating 31 data centers with over 1.8GW of secured IT power. We operate as a regional platform delivering consistent global standards, combining scale with strong local execution across every market.
This role is an exciting opportunity to join our fast-growing team as we further expand our footprint across Asia.
Our values:
- Respect: We embrace diversity and collaboration.
- Innovation: We share ideas and solve problems.
- Strive: We are driven and determined.
- Excellence: We seek to deliver the best.
- Responsibility: We do what’s right for our people and the planet.
About the role:
The Vice President, Operations Excellence leads Digital Edge’s independent control function for the Asia Pacific portfolio, setting how the operating pillars work and independently proving that they comply, perform and hold up under stress. Reporting to the Chief Data Center Operations Officer, the role is accountable for governance, assurance, certification and performance standards across a 1.8 GW hyperscale portfolio. Independence is the governing design principle: the function that audits compliance must not report into, or be diluted by, the operations it audits.
The role leads five accountabilities that together form a closed governance loop: ITIL Service Management, Documentation Management, Certification & Resilience, Operational Performance and Workforce Capability. The function is deliberately platform-heavy with light country execution, with in-country Operations Excellence Managers executing consistently against the global standard. The Vice President integrates these teams into one function with clear decision rights, escalation paths and performance expectations.
The Vice President works alongside Data Center Operations, Engineering Operations, Infrastructure Operations, Security Operations, Portfolio & Transformation, Client Operations and Operations Procurement, which remain independent peer functions reporting directly to the Chief Data Center Operations Officer. This is a single-function, platform-based role with no authority over, and no reporting line from, any other pillar. Scope will continue to evolve as the portfolio scales, and the successful candidate should be equally comfortable shaping the operating model and leading its execution.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the Operations Excellence strategy, organization design and budget across the platform, including headcount planning and hiring sequencing aligned to the RFS calendar.
- Own ITIL Service Management, governing change, incident and problem management discipline platform-wide and holding in-country Operations Excellence Managers to one global process standard.
- Own Documentation Management, controlling the policy, standards, procedure and knowledge-management library that every operating pillar draws from.
- Own Certification & Resilience, directing ISO and SOC 2 certification, customer and regulatory audit response, corrective action closure, and business continuity and crisis management.
- Own Operational Performance, setting governed KPI definitions, executive dashboards and vendor-performance standards, and translating data into management-review narratives and corrective actions for the Chief Data Center Operations Officer.
- Own Workforce Capability, setting the competency framework, qualification standards and training model that determine who is authorized to operate critical infrastructure across the portfolio.
- Retain independent evidence ownership and audit authority across every operating pillar, holding the assurance and execution boundary and representing Operations Excellence in cross-functional and executive forums with clear interaction boundaries with peer functions.
- Lead executive, board and strategic customer reviews, translating compliance posture, audit performance, resilience testing and KPI trends into clear leadership narratives for senior leadership and top-tier hyperscale customers.
- Champion organization-wide compliance with policies and procedures for information security, health and safety, environmental management, incident management and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate:
- 12+ years of operations excellence, service management, compliance or quality assurance experience within data center or comparable mission-critical environments, including 6+ years leading managers across multiple countries in a platform-plus-country model.
- Proven expertise in ITIL service management disciplines, including change, incident and problem management and the design and governance of a global change advisory process.
- Direct experience with certification and audit cycles, including ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and SOC 2, together with hyperscale customer audits and corrective action program ownership.
- Demonstrated experience building or leading business continuity and crisis management programs, including business impact analysis and resilience testing at scale.
- Track record designing and governing enterprise KPI frameworks, executive dashboards and vendor-performance management programs.
- Experience setting competency frameworks, qualification standards and learning management systems for technical or critical-infrastructure workforces.
- Established executive presence with board-level, regulatory and hyperscale customer stakeholders on compliance and assurance matters.
- Must have fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Comfortable operating in an evolving operating model and willing to travel extensively across Asia Pacific
