What we need:

 

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will manage the company’s tax compliance and strategy to ensure everything is accurate, timely, and efficient, while minimizing risks and overseeing the tax audits, and coordination with stakeholders and tax authorities. This role will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure timely and accurate tax compliance and filings in accordance with applicable regulations
  • Prepare tax computations, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
  • Manage tax audits and handle correspondence with tax authorities
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess potential tax impacts and risks
  • Support tax planning initiatives to improve efficiency and mitigate exposure
  • Actively champion and implement the organization’s policies on health & safety, environment, energy, quality, information security, and business continuity, ensuring adherence to incident reporting, legal, and regulatory requirements.

 

 

The successful candidate:

 

Essential Skills (Core Competencies)

  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations (CIT, VAT, WHT)
  • Experience in handling tax audits and managing correspondence with tax authorities
  • Proficiency in tax reporting, reconciliations, and financial data analysis
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and linkage between tax and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems (ERP experience is an advantage)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant tax experience
  • Brevet A & B certification is required; Brevet C is an advantage
