What we need:
As we accelerate the build-out of our data center platform across Asia, from hyperscale campuses to edge deployments, this principal-level role sits at the intersection of strategic talent leadership and hands-on delivery. You will own recruitment for our most technically complex and operationally critical functions: data center engineering, DC operations, critical facilities, construction and commissioning, and the infrastructure and supply chain teams that keep our platform running.
You will be a trusted partner to senior engineering and operations leaders across the region, bringing market intelligence, deep sourcing capability, and a sharp commercial mindset to every hire. Beyond filling roles, you will help shape how Digital Edge attracts, assesses, and secures the specialist talent our next phase of growth demands. This role will be based in Singapore.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for engineering, DC operations, critical facilities, construction, and technical infrastructure roles across the region.
- Act as a strategic partner to senior leaders, advising on talent market dynamics, org design implications, and hiring strategy for specialist and hard-to-fill profiles.
- Design and execute proactive sourcing strategies, including talent mapping, competitive intelligence, and direct engagement of passive candidates in niche technical markets.
- Own and continuously improve the candidate experience for technical hiring, from first contact through to offer and onboarding.
- Build and maintain a robust regional pipeline for high-priority and recurring engineering and operations roles.
- Define, track, and present TA metrics, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, pipeline health, offer conversion, using data to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage and optimise relationships with specialist search partners and agencies, including SLA governance and quality benchmarking.
- Lead or contribute to employer branding, talent attraction, and early-careers initiatives with a particular focus on the engineering and technical talent community.
- Champion and improve recruitment processes, systems, and tooling across the regional TA function, acting as a senior voice on best practice and operational excellence.
- Mentor and support more junior members of the TA team where relevant.
The successful candidate:
- 8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a meaningful track record in engineering, data center, critical infrastructure, or adjacent technical sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to hire for specialist and senior technical roles, including data center engineers, critical facilities managers, commissioning leads, and operations professionals, across multiple Asian markets.
- Proven strategic partnering capability: you can hold a room with senior engineering and operations leadership, challenge assumptions, and shape hiring decisions with evidence and insight.
- Deep sourcing expertise and the ability to build talent pipelines in thin, competitive markets where passive candidate engagement is essential.
- Analytically strong, comfortable defining hiring metrics, building simple dashboards, and using data to identify and address bottlenecks in the hiring process.
- Exceptional communicator and relationship builder, with the presence and credibility to operate at principal level within a scaling, high-performance organisation.
- Resilient, self-directed, and energised by complexity, comfortable navigating ambiguity and building structure in a fast-moving environment.
- Multilingual capability (English plus Bahasa, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, or Thai) is a strong advantage given the regional scope of the role.
