What we need:

 

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will work with colleagues to monitor

Data Centre operations and accomplish tickets within SLA and will undertake for the most part

routine, simple tasks such as responding to clients’ request and daily monitoring routine. This role

will be based in Manila, Philippines.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Performs maintenance and service repairs on critical Data Centre systems (UPS, PDU, Diesel Generators, ATS equipment and Building Controls, Chillers, CRAH,ETC), as well as all industrial electrical equipment and systems that include power distribution components/wiring, electronic components and lighting systems throughout the Data Centre campus, to ensure efficient operation and adherence with relevant codes.

 

  • Operate and inspect emergency power generation and reliability equipment; determining  systems are functioning properly and that maintenance is performed in accordance with original manufacturer’s recommendations.

 

  • Installs new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines, relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to

perform the functions of the job.

  • During staff shifts, schedule, coordinate, and oversee all maintenance vendors during

maintenance and break/fix events to ensure personnel safety, protect the Facility’s

critical equipment, and maintain power to the critical load.

 

  • Collect and generate vendor field service reports describing all activities (preventive

maintenance, repairs, etc.) performed at the Facility.

 

  • Develop reliability reports to assist in identifying areas of concern that could develop into

future problems.

 

  • Daily walk-through of Facility documenting parameters such as power availability,

temperature and humidity, alarm status, etc. to be catalogued and compared for

identification of discrepancies and trends.

 

  • Ensures availability and capacity targets are achieved and maintained for data centres

and technical infrastructure for all DIGITAL EDGE PHILIPPINES. Data Centre facilities.

 

  • Maintains a strong technical knowledge of electronic controls, power distribution,

microprocessor control systems, and environmental control equipment (HVAC and air

conditioning).

 

  • Actively champion and implement the organization’s policies on health & safety, environment, energy, quality, information security, and business continuity, ensuring adherence to incident reporting, legal, and regulatory requirements.

 

The successful candidate:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Must be a Registered Electrical/Mechanical Engineer License.
  • Preferably with 1 year of work experience.
  • Basic knowledge of all Data Center critical equipment.
  • Basic understanding of how to read and make MEPF load schedules and plans.
  • Basic understanding of Building operations.
