What we need:

 

The SVP Operations reporting to the Chief Data Center Operations Officer, will be responsible for the development & implementation of the policies, programs and procedures for Hyperscale / Strategic customers consistently across the Digital Edge’s Data Centers. The role is to ensure the data centers supporting Hyperscale / Strategic customers maintain the service uptime & provide support to meet the customer requirements – existing & potential customers.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Regional Infrastructure & Operations Leadership

  • Lead the regional infra operations function across Digital Edge data centers.
  • Own the operating model, engineering standards, and operational governance.
  • Ensure consistent uptime, availability, and operational risk discipline across markets.

 

Critical Maintenance Strategy & Standards

  • Define and govern the regional maintenance framework for Electrical, Mechanical, Fire Protection, Controls, and BMS systems.
  • Drive risk‑based maintenance, regulatory compliance, and reliability-centered practices.
  • Align maintenance strategy with capacity roadmap and business growth.

 

Live Data Center Upgrades & Expansion

  • Act as executive authority for all MEP upgrades, expansions, and replacements in live environments.
  • Approve high‑risk MOPs, sequencing, redundancy strategies, and risk assessments.
  • Partner with Projects to ensure zero‑impact execution and strong CAB governance.

 

Operational Risk, Incident & Change Governance

  • Chair or executive‑own the regional Change Advisory Board.
  • Oversee major incident response, RCA quality, and systemic risk elimination.
  • Strengthen operational resilience through proactive risk identification.

 

Compliance, Certifications & Assurance

  • Lead compliance initiatives including ISO/SS 50001, Green Mark, and local regulations.
  • Support customer audits, investor reviews, and technical due diligence.
  • Actively champion and implement the organization’s policies on health & safety, environment, energy, quality, information security, and business continuity, ensuring adherence to incident reporting, legal, and regulatory requirements.

 

The Ideal Candidate:

 

  • 20+ years leading critical infrastructure, data center operations, or hyperscale environments.
  • Deep technical authority across MEP systems, redundancy architecture, and live-site upgrading.
  • Proven leadership running multi-site, multi-country operations with standardization discipline.
  • Strong financial acumen managing lifecycle planning, maintenance CapEx/OpEx, and asset renewal.
  • Executive communicator with credibility across engineering, finance, ESG, commercial, and C‑suite.
  • Demonstrated governance strength managing CAB, incident response, RCA quality, and operational risk.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Hyperscale customers in a regional deployment scenario
  • Strong vendor management capabilities across OEMs, FM partners, and live-upgrade specialists.
  • Strategic and commercially aligned, balancing uptime, lifecycle cost, and long-term asset value.
  • Structured, calm under pressure, operationally excellent, and respected by both engineers and executives.
