Senior Vice President, Facility Operations
Date: 20 Oct 2026
Location: SG
Company: Digital Edge DC
Who we are:
Where performance meets sustainability, Digital Edge is a leading provider of sustainable, next-generation, AI-ready digital infrastructure across Asia Pacific. Backed by Stonepeak, a global alternative investment firm specializing in infrastructure and real assets, Digital Edge has over US$1.6 billion in committed equity capital from some of the world’s largest institutional investors and sovereign wealth funds.
Since our founding in 2020, we have rapidly scaled across key Asia markets, operating 31 data centers with over 1.8GW of secured IT power. We operate as a regional platform delivering consistent global standards, combining scale with strong local execution across every market.
This role is an exciting opportunity to join our fast-growing team as we further expand our footprint across Asia.
Our values:
- Respect: We embrace diversity and collaboration.
- Innovation: We share ideas and solve problems.
- Strive: We are driven and determined.
- Excellence: We seek to deliver the best.
- Responsibility: We do what’s right for our people and the planet.
About the role:
• The Senior Vice President of Facility Operations leads Digital Edge’s largest pillar and the only function staffed to a continuous-presence (24/7) standard, running critical facility operations across a 1.8GW hyperscale portfolio. The role owns uptime, safety, and operational readiness for the region.
• This is a single-function role, with no authority over, and no reporting line from, any other pillar. Engineering Operations, Infrastructure Operations, Physical Security, Operational Excellence & Governance, Portfolio & Transformation, and Client Operations are independent peers that report directly to the Chief Data Center Operations Officer.
• Facility Operations is organized as eight in-country leadership roles covering China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand that are tiered by operational capacity (Vice President, Senior Director, or Director). It is the only pillar with a dedicated country leadership tier, which together with its continuous-presence mandate is why the role sits at SVP level, reporting directly to the CDCOO. Scope and tier-ing will continue to evolve as markets scale; the successful candidate should be comfortable shaping the operating model as well as running it.
Key responsibilities:
- Own Facility Operations strategy, org design, and budget across the eight-market footprint, including headcount planning and hiring sequencing gated to campus energization and the RFS calendar.
- Build and lead the tiered in-country leadership team across all eight markets.
- Own the country tiering model, re-grading leadership levels as markets scale and keeping re-leveling decisions consistent across the portfolio.
- Own the handover from construction/commissioning into steady-state operations, ensuring SOPs/MOPs/EOPs, qualification standards, and safety protocols are in place before energization.
- Own uptime and shift-coverage performance across every campus, setting the standards country leaders execute against.
- Act as the most senior escalation point and incident commander for critical facility incidents, partnering with Engineering Operations on root cause analysis.
- Own vendor governance and critical maintenance strategy, applying one maintenance philosophy across all markets.
- Own certification and compliance outcomes (e.g. ISO 27001, ISO 45001, PCI DSS, EHS), partnering with Operational Excellence & Governance on audit readiness.
- Lead executive and board-level business reviews, translating portfolio performance into strategic narratives for leadership and top-tier hyperscale customers.
- Partner with Engineering Operations on PUE and energy performance targets.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and resilience across the portfolio.
- Champion compliance with health & safety, information security, environmental, and incident management policies.
The successful candidate:
- 15+ years of critical facility or mission-critical infrastructure experience, including 8+ years leading VP-, Senior Director-, or Director-level leaders across multiple countries.
- Direct experience owning budget, headcount, and org design for a large, continuously growing, continuous-presence operation spanning multiple countries and leadership tiers.
- Deep working knowledge of critical facility systems (electrical, UPS, generators, cooling, fire protection, BMS/DCIM) sufficient to set standards and hold final technical escalation authority.
- Proven track record scaling hyperscale customer environments, including SLA/uptime commitments and multi-megawatt campus operations.
- Experience building and leading a platform-plus-country model with tiered country leadership, holding leaders accountable to central standards.
- Experience with certification/audit cycles (e.g. ISO 27001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, PCI DSS) and incident/emergency response frameworks.
- Established executive presence with board-level, regulatory, and hyperscale customer stakeholders.
- Exceptional crisis management and communication skills as incident commander.
- Data center or facilities-related certification (e.g. CDCP, CDCS) preferred.
- Fluency in English required.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and an operating model that will continue to evolve.
- Willingness to travel extensively across APAC.
