Senior Project Manager, Korea

What we need:

Reporting to the Operations Director, Korea, this role will manage all aspects of data center build projects for Strategic / Hyperscale customers to ensure on time high quality delivery. This includes developing clear project scopes, task breakdown, assignments, deliverables, dependencies and timelines.  The project manager will facilitate business and technical discussions with internal and external teams as well as remediate conflicts if necessary. This role will be based in Korea.

Key responsibilities:

• The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator (both written and verbal) and possess at least 10+ years of experience in project management of technical initiatives
• Engage in building a new data center and successfully hand over the deliverables to operations as a point of contact with potential customers
• Be familiar with a variety of project management tools, methodologies, and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle
• They'll be able to exhibit demonstrated experience in core project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting, and metric development/tracking
• Other requirements include experience with MS Office, MS Project, and MS SharePoint.
• Lead project planning sessions and conduct project review and create detailed reports
• Oversee all incoming and outgoing project documentation and manage project progress and ensure projects meet deadlines
• Optimise and improve processes including risk mitigation plans
• Participate in tender and procurement processes
• Work with team members in different countries and coordinate resources across the company
• Manage the punch list, carry out a series of procedures to solve the problem, and check the quality of the results
• Actively champion and implement policies and procedures for occupational health & safety in the workplace, information security management, environmental management systems; incident management; and comply with all legal regulatory requirements of the organization

The successful candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field
• More than 10 years of work experience in supporting a 24x7 data center’s services
• One or more of the following certifications: Agile, SCRUM, PRINCE2, PMP
• Experience in management of complex technology infrastructure projects
• Experience with and deep understanding of multiple project management methodologies
• Familiarity with the Global CSP product suite
• Knowledge of the Korean Data Center market
• Experience of managing projects in the APAC region
• Experience in Data Centre construction and Data Centre Infrastructure (Power & Cooling)
• Project management experience with excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work independently with good leadership skills, big-picture thinking and vision
• Capable of managing high stress situations, multi-task and to manage various project elements simultaneously with attention to detail
• Strong conflict resolution skills and collaborative team player attitude
