What we need:
Support the development, structuring, and execution of debt financing activities for the GAIA Project. Working closely with the broader project, finance, legal, and management teams, the role will contribute to financial modelling, lender due diligence, financing negotiations, and funding execution to support successful project development and financial close.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Modelling & Analysis
- Develop, maintain, and update project finance financial models.
- Perform debt sizing, scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and covenant analysis.
- Support assessment of financing structures and optimization of capital structure.
- Prepare financial analyses and materials for lenders, investors, and internal stakeholders.
- Lender Engagement & Financing Process
- Participate in discussions with commercial banks and other financing institutions.
- Support debt raising activities, including preparation of financing materials and responses to lender inquiries
- Work collaboratively with project leadership and advisors in lender engagement processes.
- Act as a key contact for specific lender workstreams or financing matters as required.
Due Diligence Coordination
- Coordinate and support lender due diligence activities across technical, legal, environmental, insurance, and commercial workstreams.
- Track due diligence requests and ensure timely responses from internal teams and advisors.
- Assist in resolving lender comments and diligence findings.
Financing Documentation & Negotiation
- Review and contribute to the negotiation of financing agreements and related transaction documents.
- Work closely with legal counsel, financial advisors, and project stakeholders to evaluate financing terms and risk allocation.
- Support documentation processes through financial close.
Transaction Execution
- Support financing execution plans and closing activities.
- Assist with the management of conditions precedent and funding requirements.
- Monitor financing obligations and provide support for refinancing or additional funding initiatives when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in project finance, corporate finance, investment banking, infrastructure finance, lending, or transaction advisory.
- Preferred background from Big 4 Corporate Finance, Deal Advisory, Infrastructure Advisory, Valuation, or Transaction Services teams (e.g., Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC).
- Strong financial modelling capabilities, including project finance models, debt sizing, scenario analysis, and sensitivity testing.
- Experience supporting financing transactions, debt raising, lender engagement, and due diligence processes.
- Working knowledge of financing documentation, including facility agreements, common terms agreements, security packages, and related project finance documents
- Experience in power, energy, infrastructure, renewables, or large capital-intensive projects is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen with the ability to assess financing structures and pro Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams comprising technical, legal, commercial, and financial stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with lenders, advisors, sponsors, and project partners
