What we need:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will drive finance systems implementation, integration and process improvement initiatives across the Group, with an initial focus on ERP implementation and integration with other business systems. The role will act as the key bridge between Finance, IT, implementation partners, country teams and other business functions to ensure systems are designed around sound finance processes and meet the Group's accounting, reporting and control requirements.
This is a finance-led systems role rather than a pure IT role. The successful candidate should have a strong accounting and finance background together with hands-on ERP implementation and finance transformation experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive ERP implementation and enhancement projects from the Finance side, including requirements gathering, process design, configuration requirements, testing, implementation and post-go-live stabilization.
- Act as the key Finance representative between Finance, IT, external implementation partners, country teams and other business functions.
- Understand and map end-to-end finance processes and translate finance requirements into system requirements.
- Drive integration between the ERP and other systems across the Group to improve data flow and reduce manual processes and reconciliations.
- Work with Consolidation & Group Reporting to move the Group from manual Excel-based consolidation toward a system-based consolidation process.
- Identify opportunities to automate accounting, close, consolidation, reconciliation and financial reporting processes.
- Ensure system design supports Group accounting policies, reporting requirements and the Group chart of accounts.
- Lead finance UAT, issue tracking and resolution for system implementations and enhancements.
- Support finance master data governance, including chart of accounts, legal entities, cost centers and other key finance dimensions.
- Work closely with Internal Controls & Governance to ensure appropriate system controls, access controls, approval workflows and segregation of duties are embedded in system design.
- Develop finance system documentation, procedures and training materials.
- Support country finance teams through system implementation and adoption.
- Manage and prioritize finance system enhancements and maintain a roadmap for future improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement following implementation to ensure the intended efficiencies and benefits are realized.
The successful candidate:
- Qualified accountant or strong accounting/finance background.
- Approximately 7–10 years of relevant experience, including finance systems, ERP implementation or finance transformation.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes, financial close, consolidation and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience implementing or significantly enhancing an ERP system.
- NetSuite implementation experience would be highly advantageous.
- Experience integrating ERP with other finance or operational systems.
- Strong project management skills, including requirements gathering, UAT, issue management and implementation.
- Ability to translate effectively between Finance requirements and technical/system teams.
- Strong process improvement mindset with a focus on simplification and automation.
- Hands-on and comfortable driving projects in an environment where processes and systems are still being developed.
