What we need:

 

Reporting to the Facility Manager, the Senior Facility Engineer will support the planning, operations & maintenance of the data centre mission critical infrastructures, documentation of operational procedures and the efficient utilization of facilities, equipment, and operational resources. As a key member of the Facility Team, the Senior Facility Engineer will support mentoring of junior facility & operations staff to ensure continuity of training and quality results. The role ensures effective oversight of the uptime of the facilities, lowest possible PUE, all contractor activities and maintains fiscal responsibility of projects and required maintenance practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the data centre meet or exceed the services (power, temperature, relative humidity) performance & Uptime target.
  • Ensure the data centre critical systems e.g.  Electrical, Cooling, Fire Protection & Building Management System (BMS) are operating in healthy state and providing the lowest possible PUE.
  • Implement the MEP maintenance and monitoring policy & documents / drawings are updated.
  • Maintain appropriate vendor relationships to perform the necessary infrastructure repair and maintenance.
  • Ensure DC operations are certification compliance for Information Security Management (ISM), Environment, Health & Safety (EHS). 
  • Provide support to Sales and deliver good results in customer service & customer satisfaction responses.
  • Actively champion and implement policies and procedures for occupational health & safety in the workplace, information security management, environmental management systems; incident management; and comply with all legal regulatory requirements of the organization.

 

The successful candidate:

  • 2+ years of experience in facility management or construction management of data center facilities or other mission-critical facilities.
  • English language and Japanese language are business level.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to successfully interact with both internal and venders.
  • Electrical, Fire, Mechanical engineer certification, CDCP or CDFOM is preferable.
  • Diploma / bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferable.
