What we need:

 

Reporting to the Facility Manager, this role is accountable for the operations, maintenance, planning and documentation of the controls system to DC operations, ensuring the most efficient and maximum utilization of facilities, equipment, and operational resources. As a key member of the Operations Team, Senior Facility Engineer (BMS) will innovate, deploy, optimise, and maintain the automation systems within our DCs which consist of building management systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS). You will develop new processes and standards while innovating in the controls space.

The Senior Facility Engineer ensures effective oversight of the uptime of the facilities, lowest possible PUE, all contractor activities and maintains fiscal responsibility of projects and required maintenance practices. This role will be based in Seoul, South Korea.

 

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Perform controls root cause analysis
  • Schedule and supervise maintenances for BMS and EPMS with vendor management
  • Develop scope of work for site improvement projects
  • Review controls sequence of operation and provide feedback to design
  • Provide technical assistance to internal customers during life cycle of the data center
  • Interface with building management systems and other automated tools and applications to ensure operational efficiencies and energy improvement
  • Ensure data center controls are deployed in accordance with scope of work (SOW) and specifications
  • Review and provide feedback on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings
  • Develop and modify controls logic programming and graphical user interface
  • Maintain appropriate vendor relationships to do the necessary BMS and EPMS repair and maintenance
  • Liaise with a global team on global initiatives, processes and procedures, implement those initiatives locally in Korea
  • Actively champion and implement policies and procedures for occupational health & safety in the workplace, information security management, environmental management systems; incident management; and comply with all legal regulatory requirements of the organization

 

 

The successful candidate:

 

  • Bachelor in an engineering-based discipline
  • 2 years of experience in either design programming, or startup/commissioning
  • Experience in project management
  • Demonstrated understanding of communication protocols (MODBUS, BACNET)
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams and standard operating procedures
  • Experience with controls in data centers or other critical facilities
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
