What we need:
Reporting to the Associate Principle of Supply Chain and working closely with the VP of Supply Chain, you support the company’s global procurement strategy across all data center development, customer delivery, and operational projects. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing a scalable, future-ready procurement function that supports Digital Edge’s rapid growth and regional expansion.
You will develop and maintain supplier partnerships, ensure governance, drive continuous improvements throughout the supply chain across the Asia Pacific region, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives on cost, quality, sustainability, and risk mitigation. This role will be based in Indonesia.
Key responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of regional procurement and supply chain plans in alignment with organizational strategies set by senior leadership. Analyse market trends, supplier capabilities, cost drivers, and demand forecasts to support informed decision‑making. Identify opportunities for process optimisation, cost savings, and automation, and seek senior leadership support for implementation.
Support project pipeline planning by forecasting procurement needs, long‑lead equipment timelines, and capacity requirements across the region.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Alignment: Engage with regional and in‑country business leaders, project managers, operations, and engineering teams to ensure procurement and supply chain activities are aligned with project requirements, timelines, and operational priorities. Provide informed recommendations on supply risks, market conditions, and commercial considerations.
- Category Management & Contracting Execution: Support the development and execution of category strategies for key infrastructure equipment and services. Lead regional sourcing exercises, including RFPs, supplier evaluations, cost analysis, and contract preparation. Ensure category decisions align with broader organizational strategy set by senior leadership.
- Supplier Management & Mid‑Level Negotiations: Manage relationships with key regional suppliers. Conduct commercial negotiations for medium- to high‑value contracts under established guidelines. Monitor supplier performance, lead quarterly business reviews, and work with suppliers to resolve issues, drive improvements, and support innovation initiatives.
- Long‑Lead Equipment Planning & Coordination: Oversee day‑to‑day planning and tracking of long‑lead equipment orders and critical spares. Work with project teams to align delivery schedules, escalate risks, and implement corrective measures. Support inventory planning and logistics coordination to ensure equipment availability across the region.
- Operational Risk Management & Supply Chain Continuity: Monitor procurement risks such as lead time variability, capacity constraints, geopolitical factors, and supply disruptions. Implement approved mitigation measures such as alternate sourcing, expediting, or inventory adjustments. Prepare regional risk updates and support continuity planning led by senior leadership.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with design, construction, operations, and finance teams to translate project specifications into procurement scopes, schedules, and supplier requirements. Ensure cross-functional alignment during tendering, contracting, and execution phases.
- Regional Procurement Operations: Oversee procurement activities across assigned countries or projects, ensuring consistency in processes such as vendor prequalification, bid management, contract execution, and purchase order governance. Support deployment of regional framework agreements, preferred supplier lists, and procurement tools.
- Governance, Compliance & Process Excellence: Ensure procurement activities meet internal standards, including ABAC requirements, due diligence, and P2P controls. Participate in procurement audits and implement corrective actions. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance transparency, efficiency, and compliance.
- Reporting, Analytics & Systems Management: Prepare and deliver regional procurement and supply chain reports, including spend analysis, supplier performance dashboards, long‑lead equipment status, and project procurement progress. Maintain high-quality data in ERP and procurement systems and drive adoption of digital tools.
- Leadership & Team Development: Provide guidance and technical support to junior procurement and supply chain team members. Foster collaboration across in‑country teams and contribute to capability building through training, process documentation, and knowledge sharing. Support in developing a positive team environment and lead by example.
- Health, Safety, and Ethical Sourcing Responsibilities: Promote and adhere to company policies related to health and safety, information security, and sustainability. Ensure suppliers meet ethical sourcing expectations, environmental standards, and regulatory obligations.
- Actively champion and implement the organization’s policies on health & safety, environment, energy, quality, information security, and business continuity, ensuring adherence to incident reporting, legal, and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate:
- Experience:
13+ years of experience in strategic procurement within construction or infrastructure sectors, preferably with exposure to mission-critical facilities such as data centers.
Proven track record in managing procurement (source and destination) across range of Asia Pacific countries.
- Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity with construction procurement practices and equipment requirements specific to data center development and operations. Experience with tender processes, supplier negotiations, contract management and supplier relationship management.
