Senior Associate, Finance, Philippines

What we need:

Reporting to the Digital Edge Philippine Finance Manager, this role has oversight and responsibility for all financial activities of Digital Edge in the Philippines, including accounting and control, financial reporting, planning, treasury, debt and capital structure, cash management, risk, and tax. This role is based in the Philippines. 

Key responsibilities:

• Handle finance daily operations including but not limited to billings and collections from clients, payments to vendors, etc.
• Prepare and generate month end closing accounting reports including collaboration with cross-department teams and providing analysis and commentary to the Finance Manager
• Work closely with Finance Manager in managing local banking relationships to ensure that facilities exist to meet the local working capital
• Support Finance Manager to plan, develop and execute financial strategy in line with management’s overall strategy
• Assist in comparing historical results against budgets and forecasts, and perform variance analysis
• Coordinating company’s annual budget process and keep track of the progress towards the targets; recommend necessary actions to management
• Assist FM in maintaining and updating the regular finance models
• Assist with audits, including internal and external audits
• To liaise with Bankers, Auditors, Tax Agents, and government bodies for banking, finance, and admin related matters
• Undertake any other finance-related matters or ad-hoc projects
• Actively champion and comply with policies and procedures related to workplace health & safety, information security, environmental, quality, and energy management systems, incident management, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate:  

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, exposure in telecommunications and / or digital infrastructure sectors is beneficial 
• Expertise in tax compliance, Finance Operations, FP&A, Finance Strategy
• Advanced Microsoft skills and/or Google Suite skills is required
• Experience in any ERP and accounting software is an advantage
• Effective communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Strong sense of responsibility and able to work under pressure
• Organized and detailed oriented
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing construction costs and budgets is beneficial
• A team player willing to be hands on in a dynamic and fast paced environment
• Fluency in English is essential
