What we need:

 

Reporting to Director of Product Strategy, the Product Development Manager (PDM) will be responsible for platform-wide data center product development and lifecycle management. In this role, you will:

 

  • Lead the development and maintenance of HyperCore product catalogue across all markets.
  • Translate customer needs, market trends, and business priorities into product strategy and roadmap.
  • Partner with Central Engineering, Design & Construction, Solution Engineering, and Sales teams to drive product development and adoption.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

Product Catalogue Development:

  • Define product requirements that reflect current and anticipated customer needs.
  • Develop and maintain the HyperCore master product catalogue, establishing the reference design, cost baseline, and target time-to-market (TTM) for the portfolio.
  • Ensure the product catalogue incorporates standard product variants to address both market-specific and customer-specific requirements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define the cost and TTM implications of product variants and design options.

Product Catalogue Adoption and Utilization

  • Develop processes, governance, and tools to drive adoption of the product catalogue across customer engagement and project delivery activities.
  • Champion the use of the product catalogue across the organisation to promote standardisation, modularisation, and portfolio-wide continuous improvement, reducing overall cost and time-to-market.
  • Establish feedback mechanisms to continuously enhance product offerings based on project execution and customer insights.

Roadmap Development and Program Management

  • Assist in the development and lead the execution of the product roadmap, managing individual product variants and enhancements as discrete workstreams.
  • Track progress against key milestones and ensure alignment with strategic objectives, delivery timelines, and business priorities.

Technology and Innovation:

  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments to maintain product relevance and market competitiveness.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies into the product catalogue as standard offerings or approved product variants where appropriates.

Sales and Customer Opportunities Support

  • Develop competitive intelligence, sales enablement tools, product collateral, and training materials to support Go-to-Market (GTM) teams.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and strategic product support for key customer opportunities and major pursuits. 

 

Actively hampion and implement the organization’s policies on health & safety, environment, energy, quality, information security, and business continuity, ensuring adherence to incident reporting, legal, and regulatory requirements. 

 

The successful candidate:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Project Management, etc.) or a related technical or business discipline.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in product management, engineering management, commercial management, or related functions preferably within the data centre, digital infrastructure, or other mission-critical industries.
  • Demonstrated success in managing products throughout their lifecycle, including product strategy, roadmap development, feature prioritisation, performance management, and continuous improvement. Preferred experience in driving standardisation, governance, and portfolio-level product initiatives across multiple markets or regions.
  • Proven experience leading or supporting major data centre developments, with a strong understanding of multi-disciplinary design and delivery, encompassing civil, architectural, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to align and mobilise both executive and working-level stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives, projects, and business priorities.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and resilient, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
