What we need:

 

Reporting to Vice President (Infrastructure Operations), the role will develop a qualified vendors management program with approved specifications, delivery timeline and unit costs per country operations, which will be used to support Sales Engineering with prompt Costing & timeline estimates for potential customer requirement. This role will be based in Singapore.

 

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to identify & onboard reliable vendors / suppliers to provide standard products, materials & services to deliver DE services and where possible, to have vendor diversity by having 2 pre-qualified suppliers per products / services    
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficient sourcing strategies & negotiations.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Develop prompt Costing support with cost & timelines estimates to Sales Engineering for potential customer requirement
  • Forecast procurement needs and coordinate with Country Operations & Sales Engineering to plan and prioritize purchases.
  • Work with Country Operations to ensure timely procurement of materials and services to meet project deadlines.
  • Monitor and perform cost review after provisioning, to determine if cost incurred is within 15% of initial costing estimates (initial scope).
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Mitigate procurement risks and maintain high standards of integrity and ethics.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports and analysis to senior management.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track procurement performance and efficiency.
  • Actively champion and implement policies and procedures for occupational health & safety in the workplace, information security management, environmental management systems; incident management; and comply with all legal regulatory requirements of the organization

 

 

The successful candidate:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role within the construction /data center support industry .
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing methods, and vendor management.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Adaptability and resilience in handling procurement challenges.
