What we need:

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, People & Culture, this individual contributor role is responsible for the daily HR (People & Culture) operations of the Korea team and partners with the business to support high engagement and productivity. This role will be based in Seoul, Korea.

 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage employee lifecycle “hire to retire” processes and achieving operational excellence (administration, compensation and benefits, employee relations, HR data management, employment ordinance compliance with all Korea employment law)
  • Support the Talent Acquisition function by liaising with direct sourcing/pipelining, liaising with external agencies (as required), interview coordination, preparing offer proposals and employment agreements and aligning with the company’s best practice recruitment life cycle
  • Facilitate employee onboarding and learning for new joiners to provide exceptional employee experience
  • Manage monthly payroll and tax reporting matters with our external vendor
  • Provide HR advice to people related issues and handling employee grievances and discipline and coaching managers on employee matters (e.g. performance management, employee relations, retention risks)
  • Support the global annual performance appraisal and review process
  • Develop and monitor local policies (in collaboration with Korea Legal Counsel) and ensure compliance of company procedures
  • Support HR special projects and drive continuous improvement in collaboration with HQ People Culture team
  • Actively champion and increase awareness of their responsibility to occupational health & safety in the workplace, information security management, environmental management systems; and comply with all legal regulatory requirements of the organization.

 

 

The successful candidate:

 

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management or Human Resources Management
  • Seasoned and mature individual contributor with a minimum 8 years of focused HR Operations experience ideally in data centres or within infrastructure/telecommunications
  • Strong demonstrable experience reporting to global HQ and partnering with local stakeholders
  • Strong demonstrable knowledge of Korea employment law
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain attention to details
  • Hands on experience in managing and navigating HRIS
  • Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English in addition to fluency in Korean
