What we need:

 

We are seeking a highly experienced and structured Construction PMO Director to join our regional Design & Construction (D&C) team.


This is a high-impact platform role responsible for governance, consistency, and execution excellence across a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of data-center projects throughout Asia, including India.

 

Reporting to the VP, Design & Construction, the Director will work closely with cross-functional teams—Real Estate, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and Operations—to provide program-level visibility and control in a fast-paced, matrixed, and regionally distributed environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Program Governance & Portfolio Oversight

  • Establish and maintain project governance frameworks, tools, and reporting standards across all regional construction projects.
  • Drive portfolio-level visibility on status, risk, budget, and timelines, ensuring clear escalation paths and mitigation plans.
  • Lead the standardisation of delivery methodologies, including stage gates, documentation, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

 

 Project Controls & Executive Reporting

  • Oversee cost control, scheduling, and risk management processes across active and planned projects.
  • Develop and maintain a standardized reporting dashboard as the single source of truth for senior leadership, capturing RFS dates, CAPEX burn, S+X months vs T+X months spend buckets, milestone progress, and critical-path dependencies.
  • Provide actionable insights to support capital planning, resource allocation, and strategic decision-making, ensuring compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards..

 

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as the central coordination point between project teams, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with the VP, D&C to align regional programs with business goals, customer requirements, and long-term capacity planning.
  • Facilitate lessons-learned and continuous-improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and repeatability.

 

Technology & Process Enablement

  • Champion the adoption of project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, Procore) to enable real-time reporting and data-driven decisions.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives in construction documentation, reporting, and portfolio analytics.

 

Leadership & Team Development

  • Build and mentor a high-performing PMO team to manage 12+ simultaneous high-intensity projects in emerging and mature markets.
  • Provide guidance and training to local project managers on best practices in scheduling, cost governance, and risk management.

 

Candidate Profile:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • 12+ years of experience in large-scale data-center or mission-critical infrastructure programs, with 5+ years in a regional PMO or program-controls leadership role.
  • Proven success in multi-country, multi-project oversight, ideally within a hyperscaler or data-center operator environment.
  • Deep expertise in program controls, critical-path scheduling, cost governance, and risk frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership, JV partners, and hyperscale customers.
  • Familiarity with international standards (NFPA, ASHRAE, IEC, ISO) and local construction codes.
  • PMP, PgMP, or similar certification preferred.
