What we need:

 

Reporting To: Facility Director, Maintenance & PUE
Based in: Singapore

 

The Facility Manager – who managed Maintenance, Pull The Plug (PTP) & Drills is responsible for standardising and governing maintenance execution practices across all data centers, ensuring Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM), Permit-To-Work (PTW/PTP), and emergency drills are consistent, compliant, and audit-ready.

 

This role ensures that execution quality at site level matches regional standards, reducing human-error-related incidents and improving operational discipline.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

1. Preventive Maintenance (PPM) Governance

  • Develop and standardise PPM frameworks, frequencies, and execution standards across all countries
  • Ensure all sites comply with maintenance schedules, procedures, and documentation standards
  • Audit quality of PPM execution and close identified gaps

 

2. Permit-to-Work (PTP/PTW) Control

  • Define and enforce safe system of work for all maintenance and vendor activities
  • Standardise permit workflows, isolation procedures, and risk assessments
  • Ensure all sites adhere to zero-compromise safety practices

3. Emergency Response & Drills

  • Design and implement regional emergency drill programmes (e.g., power failure, fire, system faults)
  • Ensure consistency in EOP/MOP/SOP execution readiness
  • Evaluate drill performance and drive continuous improvement

 

4. Operational Compliance & Audit

  • Conduct site audits to ensure compliance with maintenance, safety, and operational standards
  • Support internal, customer, and certification audits (ISO, Uptime, etc.)
  • Ensure documentation and records are complete, accurate, and defensible

 

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Identify gaps in maintenance execution and recommend improvements
  • Work with PMO and Incident Management to address human-factor-related failures

 

Actively champion and implement the organization’s policies on health & safety, environment, energy, quality, information security, and business continuity, ensuring adherence to incident reporting, legal, and regulatory requirements.

 

The successful candidate:

 

Required:

  • 8 years in data center or critical facility operations
  • Strong hands-on experience in:
    • PPM execution
    • Permit-to-work systems
    • Emergency response procedures
  • Familiar with mission-critical MEP systems and operational risk
  • Detail-oriented with strong audit and compliance mindset
