Interconnection Product Manager

What we need:

 

Reporting to Director of Product Strategy, the Interconnection Product Manager will be responsible for platform-wide data center product development and lifecycle management. In this role, you will:

 

  • Lead the development and execution of the interconnection product roadmap across markets, covering Cross Connect, Data Centre Interconnect, Internet Access, and third-party network products and service enablement.
  • Define differentiated product positioning and strategy across different markets, in respect to different portfolios of shared colocation, dedicated building and campus.
  • Partner with in-country GTM Leadership, Business Development, Engineering and Operations teams to drive product readiness, adoption and performance.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

Interconnection Product Roadmap Development and Execution:

  • Translate customer needs, market trends, competitive developments and business priorities into product requirements, propositions, policies and prioritised roadmap initiatives.
  • Align regional product direction with in-country requirements while promoting platform consistency, scalability and reuse.
  • Lead productization preparation for new and enhanced offerings, including service definitions, operational readiness, commercial alignment, internal training and launch planning.
  • Develop clear product documentation, governance processes and ownership models to support ongoing operation and lifecycle management.
  • Maintain and refresh product collateral, including sales decks, data sheets, product guides, use cases and other sales enablement materials.

Commercial and Product Performance Management

  • Monitor product performance across growth, revenue, profitability, cost, adoption and other agreed performance indicators.
  • Initiate and execute plans to improve product performance, with support from in-country leadership teams and relevant corporate functions.
  • Prepare, maintain and uphold the product business case, ensuring that investment, pricing, cost, demand and return assumptions remain current and properly governed.
  • Provide regular performance analyses, insights and recommendations to management to support portfolio decisions and prioritisation.

Technology and Innovation:

  • Work closely with Engineering, Solutions and Operations teams to identify, assess and introduce new interconnection technologies and innovations to the platform.
  • Define requirements and integration approaches that allow new capabilities to complement established products, systems, processes and operational standards.
  • Monitor developments across data centre connectivity, network ecosystems, automation and third-party platforms to maintain product relevance and competitiveness.
  • Closely coordinate pilots, Proof-of-Concept in controlled product introduction.

Sales and Customer Opportunities Support

  • Work closely with Go-to-Market, Business Development and Solutions teams to support interconnection opportunities, customer engagements and strategic pursuits.
  • Develop and deliver product training for Sales, Solutions, Operations and other internal stakeholders.
  • Build competitive intelligence and practical sales tools that improve opportunity qualification, solution consistency and customer communication.

 

The successful candidate:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Business or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in product management, network services, telecommunications, data centre interconnection, cloud connectivity or digital infrastructure
  • Demonstrated success in managing products throughout their lifecycle, including product strategy, roadmap development, feature prioritisation, performance management, and continuous improvement. Preferred experience in driving standardisation, governance, and portfolio-level product initiatives across multiple markets or regions.
  • Strong understanding of interconnection and connectivity products such as cross connects, data centre interconnect, carrier access, internet exchange, cloud connectivity and third-party network services. Experience in dealing with 3rd party network product and services collaboration preferred.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and resilient, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
