What we need:

The Implementation Engineer (IM Engineer) supports the delivery of customer data hall (DH) fit-out and implementation works within Digital Edge data centers.

This role focuses on coordinating activities within the customer space (data hall), ensuring that all infrastructure, power, cooling, and connectivity requirements are ready for customer equipment deployment.

Reporting to the Operations Director (country) with matrix coordination to the Customer Project Manager (regional), the IM Engineer works closely with Facility, Operations, Network, Construction, and Testing & Commissioning (T&C) teams to ensure smooth execution and successful handover to customers. This role will be based in Chonburi, Thailand.

Key responsibilities:

1. Customer Data Hall (DH) Implementation Support

• Support the delivery of customer fit-out and implementation works within the data hall
• Coordinate installation readiness for:
• racks
• containment systems
• cabling infrastructure
• customer equipment deployment

🔹 2. Cross-Functional Coordination (Core Role)

• Coordinate with:
• Account / Sales teams (customer requirements)
• Construction team (base building readiness)
• Facility team (power and cooling readiness)
• Operations team (access, procedures, compliance)
• Network team (connectivity and cross-connects)

👉 Act as execution coordinator to align all parties within DH scope

🔹 3. Coordination with Testing & Commissioning (T&C)

• Work closely with T&C team to:
• track system readiness status
• coordinate testing schedules affecting customer areas
• ensure infrastructure readiness before customer activities
• Support resolution of issues identified during T&C and pre-handover phase

🔹 4. Power Turn-On & Site Readiness Support

• Coordinate with Facility team for:
• rack-level power readiness
• energization scheduling
• Ensure:
• proper sequencing of activities
• safe execution (permit-to-work, LOTO)

🔹 5. Customer Fit-Out Coordination

• Support and track:
• customer fit-out schedule
• equipment delivery and installation
• Coordinate daily activities within the data hall to avoid conflicts and delays

🔹 6. Testing, Validation & Issue Tracking

• Assist in:
• power-on and installation checks
• coordination of issue resolution
• Track:
• defects
• punch lists
• outstanding items until closure

🔹 7. Customer Coordination (Execution Level)

• Support communication with customers during:
• fit-out stage
• testing and readiness stage
• Assist in managing:
• site access
• coordination requests
• basic issue follow-up

🔹 8. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain:
• implementation trackers
• action logs
• meeting minutes
• progress updates
• Ensure proper documentation for:
• testing
• readiness
• handover

🔹 9. Handover Support to Operations

• Support formal handover of customer space to:
• Operations team
• Customer
• Ensure:
• readiness status is clearly communicated
• outstanding items are tracked and resolved

🔹 10. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure all works within data hall comply with:
• safety requirements
• permit-to-work processes
• site operational standards

Actively champion and implement the organization’s policies on health & safety, environment, energy, quality, information security, and business continuity, ensuring adherence to incident reporting, legal, and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate:

🔹 Experience

• 5–8 years in Data center / telecom / critical infrastructure
• Experience in data hall fit-out / customer deployment / implementation/site coordination
• Fluency in English and Thai.

🔹 Technical Background

• Degree or diploma in Engineering / IT / Telecommunications
• Basic understanding of:
• rack deployment and data hall layout
• power distribution to racks (RPP, PDU)
• cooling interface (CRAC / containment)
• structured cabling and cross-connects

🔹 Core Competencies

• Strong coordination and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented with ability to track multiple activities
• Good communication skills (internal & customer-facing)
• Able to work in fast-paced site environment
