What we need:

We are seeking a visionary Senior IT Operations Manager with deep cloud and virtualization expertise to lead our on-premises and cloud infrastructure operation transformation. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for managing our multi-cloud environment, driving infrastructure consistency, and ensuring operational excellence across on-premises, AWS and Azure. You will lead a team of IT engineers in multiple countries while optimizing performance, security, and cost across our IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and execute enterprise on-premises and cloud strategy
• Lead cloud-first initiatives and champion DevOps/SRE practices
• Manage multi-cloud architecture (AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud environments
• Enforce cloud governance, policies, and center of excellence

IT Infrastructure Management

• Oversee 24/7 on-premises and cloud infrastructure operations and SRE functions
• Implement consistent monitoring capabilities across on-premises and cloud infrastructure to near real-time visibility into capacity, utilization, and abnormity
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity in cloud environments
• Lead cloud security operations including IAM, network security, and compliance

Team & Vendor Management

• Lead and mentor IT engineers in multiple countries as a pool of resources to support the entire platform with cross-country support with best practices
• Manage relationships with cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and SaaS vendors
• Develop cloud talent through training, certifications, and career growth paths
• Oversee cloud support contracts, reserved instances, and enterprise agreements
• Manage on-call rotations and incident response for cloud services

Performance & Optimization

• Monitor on-premises and cloud performance, utilization, and cost using OpsRamp
• Implement automated scaling, monitoring, and alerting solutions
• Drive continuous improvement through automation and process optimization
• Manage cloud budgets, forecasting, and show back/chargeback mechanisms
• Establish and report on KPIs and operational metrics

Actively champion and implement the organization’s policies on health & safety, environment, energy, quality, information security, and business continuity, ensuring adherence to incident reporting, legal, and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate:

Technical Expertise

• 8+ years of IT operations experience with 4+ years focused on cloud management
• Expert knowledge of at least two major cloud platforms (AWS required, Azure/GCP preferred)
• Deep experience with cloud-native services (compute, storage, databases, networking)
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) and serverless architectures
• Strong knowledge of cloud security frameworks and compliance requirements
• Experience with cloud monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog, New Relic)

Leadership & Management Skills

• 5+ years managing cloud/operations teams (10+ members)
• Proven experience leading large-scale cloud migrations and transformations
• Strong financial management skills with cloud cost optimization experience
• Experience implementing and managing SRE practices and DevOps culture
• Vendor management and contract negotiation expertise

Certifications (Required)

• AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Additional preferred: Google Cloud Professional Architect, CKA (Kubernetes)

Preferred Certifications

• AWS/Azure specialty certifications (Security, Networking, DevOps)
• ITIL 4 Foundation or higher

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, or related field
• 10+ years of IT infrastructure experience with 5+ years in cloud-focused roles
• Experience managing cloud budgets of $1M+ annually
• Background in cloud transformation from on-premises to cloud/hybrid
• Experience in regulated industries with cloud compliance requirements
