Key responsibilities:

 

Reporting

  • Responsible for accounting and book-keeping activities across various GAAPs (IND-AS and IFRS), including monthly book closures, quarterly reporting, direct and indirect tax filings, facilitating statutory and internal audits, monitoring daily cashflows, facilitating bank payments, etc.
  • Responsible for setting up detailed systems, processes, procedures and controls relating to Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR).
  • Prepare and review budgets and forecasts for Senior Leadership team, including timely & relevant reporting packages detailing financial & operational KPIs.
  • Manage all statutory compliance obligations, including liaising with tax authorities and external auditors.
  • Manage budgets and expenditure related to corporate expenditure and capital projects across development and construction work.

 

Systems, Controls and Process

  • Work with Digital Edge Group Finance and IT teams to establish and continue to update DEI on relevant software/ERP and system platforms and oversee the efficient day to day operation on these systems.
  • Implement adequate financial controls.
  • Working with legal and compliance team, establish an appropriate risk management matrix and reporting.

Finance

  • Responsible for supervising daily project finance activities, equity/debt draw downs.
  • Manage DEI business and cashflow forecasting.
  • Managing multiple banking relationships.

General

  • Co-ordinating with tax and accounting advisors, government agencies, auditors etc.
  • Provide analytical support to functional groups such as Sales, Marketing, HR, Marketing, & Operations
  • Actively champion and comply with policies and procedures related to workplace health & safety, information security, environmental, quality, and energy management systems, incident management, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

 

The successful candidate:

 

  • Experience: Must be a Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 12 years of Industry experience in the Finance and Accounting function OR must have worked at Big 4 audit firms (in their audit discipline).
  • Strong preference for experience in working in a global environment as part of a multinational company.
  • Experience in data centers/telecommunications/real estate or digital infrastructure sectors and worked along in development and construction projects is preferred.
  • Experience in project finance and raising thirdparty debt is an added advantage.
  • Strong core financial reporting skills covering consolidation, financial reporting, management reporting, ICFR and FP&A.
  • Must have experience in working with established ERP systems like SAP, Oracle etc. Being part of an ERP implementation team is beneficial.
  • A team player willing to be hands on in a dynamic, unstructured and fast paced environment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional and respectful working relationships.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deliverables within agreed deadlines.
  • Experience in reporting and presenting to multiple stakeholders.
