What we need:
Reporting to the Digital Edge Group Chief Financial Officer, this role has oversight and responsibility for all financial activities of Digital Edge in the Philippines, including accounting and control, financial reporting, planning, treasury, debt and capital structure, cash management, risk, and tax. This role is based in the Philippines and will have dotted-line reporting into the Philippines Country Manager.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the Philippines finance team, with a view of establishing a world-class finance, reporting and internal control structure
- Responsible for delivering and communicating all financial reporting to Group finance, covering management and statutory accounts as part of comprehensive financial controller activities
- Manage all statutory compliance obligations, including liaising with tax authorities and external
- auditors and work to actively identify opportunities to participate in rebate and incentive
programs - Work on strategic projects including site expansion and greenfield construction projects.
- Partner with Philippines business leaders to prepare and review budgets and forecasts
- Work closely with Group Finance, to manage banking, debt and treasury activities
- Work with legal and compliance team, establish an appropriate risk management matrix and reporting
- Produce timely and relevant reporting packages detailing financial and operational Key Performance Indicators as part of FP&A reporting
- Manage all statutory compliance obligations, including liaising with tax authorities and external auditors and work to actively identify opportunities to participate in rebate and incentive programmes
- Work on strategic projects including site expansion and greenfield construction projects
- Manage budgets and expenditure related to capital projects across development and construction work
- Provide FP&A financial analytical support to functional groups such as Sales, Marketing, HR, & Operations
- Actively champion and comply with policies and procedures related to workplace health & safety, information security, environmental, quality, and energy management systems, incident management, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance and / or Accounting disciplines
- CPA or equivalent qualified
- Minimum 10+ years’ professional experience
- Strong core financial reporting skills covering consolidation, financial reporting, management reporting and FP&A.
- Preference for experience in working in a global environment as part of multinational
- Experience in telecommunications and / or digital infrastructure sectors is beneficial
- Experience managing construction costs and budgets is beneficial
- A team player willing to be hands on in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Fluency in English is essential
