What we need:
The Finance, Legal & Regulatory Director will serve as the primary governance, compliance, financial control, and regulatory lead of Digital Edge Philippines. It combines strategic finance leadership with legal, regulatory, and governance oversight to strengthen operational discipline, reduce risk exposure, improve collections and billing governance, and ensure compliance with Philippine regulatory requirements. The position is intended to stabilize and strengthen the Philippines business during its current scaling and operational discipline phase.
Key responsibilities:
- Financial Governance & Strategic Finance
- Lead financial governance and performance review initiatives
- Support budgeting, forecasting, liquidity management, and capital planning
- Strengthen pricing discipline, commercial validation, and margin governance
- Improve billing integrity, collections discipline, and cash conversion performance
- Identify cost leakages and operational inefficiencies
- Legal & Contract Governance
- Review customer and supplier contracts for legal and commercial risk exposure
- Establish contract governance standards and approval workflows
- Support negotiation and review of MSAs, GTCs, SLAs, NDAs, and strategic agreements
- Improve governance around commercial concessions and contractual deviations
- Regulatory & Compliance Management
- Ensure compliance with BIR, BOI, PEZA, NTC, SEC, and other relevant government agencies
- Lead CAS application and e-invoicing/e-receipting compliance readiness
- Support NTC SRF exemption assessment and compliance review
- Oversee regulatory filings, documentation, and governance requirements
- Corporate Governance & Internal Controls
- Recommend governance frameworks and internal control improvements
- Establish financial and contractual approval thresholds
- Improve documentation, audit readiness, and compliance discipline
- Align local governance practices with regional and platform standards
- Leadership & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to strengthen order-to-cash discipline
- Support strategic decision-making through financial and governance insights
- Mentor and guide Finance operational personnel and supporting associates
Actively champion and implement the organization’s policies on health & safety, environment, energy, quality, information security, and business continuity, ensuring adherence to incident reporting, legal, and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
- Juris Doctor / Licensed Lawyer required
- Minimum 10–15 years combined experience in finance, governance, legal, regulatory, or corporate advisory roles
- Strong experience in corporate governance, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance
- Experience handling BIR, SEC, PEZA, BOI, or NTC matters preferred
- Strong understanding of financial controls, collections, billing governance, and risk management
- Experience in infrastructure, telecom, data center, technology, or regulated industries preferred
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and executive communication skills
- Ability to operate in a high-growth and fast-moving environment
