What we need:

 

Reporting to the Facility Manager, this role is accountable for the operations, maintenance, planning and documentation of Data Center operations procedures and associated mission critical infrastructures toward the most efficient and maximum utilization of facilities, equipment, and operational resources. This role will be based in Korea.

 

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Participate in a 24 x 7 rotating shift roster and cover shifts as required
  • Ensure the DC meet or exceed the services (power, temperature, relative humidity) performance & Uptime target
  • Ensure the DC critical systems e.g. Electrical, Cooling, Fire Protection & Building Management System (BMS) are operating in healthy state and providing the lowest possible PUE
  • Implement the MEP maintenance and monitoring policy & documents / drawings are updated.
  • Maintain appropriate vendor relationships to perform the necessary infrastructure repair and maintenance
  • Provide support to Sales and deliver good results in customer service & customer satisfaction responses
  • Actively champion and implement policies and procedures for occupational health & safety in the workplace, information security management, environmental management systems; incident management; and comply with all legal regulatory requirements of the organization

 

The successful candidate:

 

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline
  • Good command in spoken and written English
  • Extensive operational knowledge of electrical distribution (e.g. switchgear, transformers, automatic transfer switch, UPS, STS, battery management systems, generators, and PDUs to the branch level), cooling system, fire protection & Building Management system
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to successfully interact with both internal and external customers
  • A team player willing to be hands-on in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Electrical, Fire or Mechanical engineer certification is preferable
