What we need:

 

This role serves as the campus EHS lead for datacenter development in Cikarang. The Campus EHS Manager is accountable for day-to-day EHS performance across large-scale data center construction and live operational environments within the campus. The role drives strong safety culture, ensures rigorous control of high-risk activities, and maintains compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.

 

This role works closely with Construction, Operations, General Contractors, and hyperscale customers to ensure safe, disciplined execution across all campus activities.

 

This role is based full-time in Cikarang, Indonesia.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Provide on-site EHS leadership and oversight across site construction works and live operational facilities.
  • Ensure robust planning, control, and supervision of high-risk activities including electrical works, energisation, work at height, lifting operations, confined space entry, and major mechanical installations.
  • Serve as the primary EHS interface for hyperscale customers at campus level, supporting audits, safety reviews, and compliance walkthroughs.
  • Enforce contractor compliance with corporate EHS standards, safe systems of work, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct campus-wide inspections, audits, and risk reviews to verify performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead or support incident investigations, ensuring timely reporting, thorough root cause analysis, and effective implementation of corrective actions.
  • Monitor leading and lagging indicators at campus level and drive disciplined follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Support energisation and transition activities from construction to operations, ensuring safe handover and readiness.
  • Ensure effective implementation of EHS training, inductions, and competency verification for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Maintain campus emergency response preparedness, including drills, coordination with local authorities, and site-specific response planning.
  • Support ISO management systems implementation (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 14064) and external audits at campus level.
  • Foster a strong, visible safety culture by coaching supervisors, contractors, and site leadership on what good looks like in day-to-day execution.
  • Actively champion and implement the organizations policies on health & safety, environment, energy, quality, information security, and business continuity, ensuring adherence to incident reporting, legal, and regulatory requirements.


The successful candidate:

  • Degree or diploma in Environmental, Health & Safety or a related discipline, with recognized professional certifications (e.g., AK3U, NEBOSH or equivalent).
  • 815 years of EHS experience, including significant exposure to large-scale construction or mission-critical facilities.
  • Strong working knowledge of Indonesian EHS regulations and contractor management practices.
  • Demonstrated experience managing high-risk construction activities in multi-contractor environments.
  • Confident engaging with customers, contractors, and site leadership on EHS matters.
  • Physically able to conduct regular site inspections across active construction and operational facilities.
  • Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
