What we need:

This role serves as the country EHS lead for Indonesia, overseeing EHS performance across ongoing developments and upcoming large-scale data center campuses exceeding 500MW capacity.

The role works closely with Construction, Operations, and country leadership to ensure strong EHS culture,  governance, and regulatory compliance throughout project and operational lifecycles.

This role will be based in Cikarang, with occasional travel to downtown Jakarta sites.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide strategic EHS leadership and oversight for large-scale, high-density data center construction and live facilities across Indonesia.
• Further strengthen safety culture across construction, live facilities, and offices.
• Collaborate with project and operations teams on high-risk activity management and mitigation strategies.
• Communicate EHS performance to Country Senior Leadership Team.
• Consistently drive implementation of corporate EHS systems, standards and procedures.
• Actively coach ‘what good looks like’ and reinforce high standards in day-to-day execution.
• Drive disciplined implementation of actionable commitments on leading indicators across all facilities.
• Lead or review incident investigations, ensuring prompt reporting, robust root cause analysis, and application of lessons learned.
• Engage in the process for general contractor tendering, evaluation, and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with best practices.
• Develop local EHS capabilities through training, coaching, and leadership engagement.
• Support EHS reporting for internal governance, customer requirements, and external stakeholders as required.
• Actively champion and implement the organization’s policies on health & safety, environment, energy, quality, information security, and business continuity, ensuring adherence to incident reporting, legal, and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate:

• Degree or diploma in Environmental, Health & Safety or a relevant discipline with recognized professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent).
• 12+ years of progressive EHS experience, including leadership roles in large-scale construction and mission-critical or high-risk environments (e.g., data centers, semiconductor, energy, or major infrastructure projects).
• Proven track record influencing senior stakeholders, contractors, and project teams to achieve strong EHS outcomes in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• Strong knowledge of local regulatory frameworks and international EHS standards.
• Comfortable working on active construction sites and live facilities.
• Fluent in English and Indonesian.
