What we need:

 

Reporting to the Senior MEP Manager, this role will be responsible for managing document control and change management processes for all MEPF activities on site, ensuring accurate, timely and traceable documentation across design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning stages. This role will be based at site office in Navi Mumbai.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Act as single point of contact (SPOC) for document control and change management across all MEPF disciplines on site, from design handover through to completion of IST testing.
  • Establish, implement and maintain the project document control system/EDMS for all MEPF drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, method statements, ITPs, inspection/test reports, and O&M manuals.
  • Manage version control, numbering, and status tracking of all MEPF technical documents to ensure only current/approved revisions are in use on site.
  • Own the change management process for all MEPF-related design changes, variations and site instructions — logging, tracking, routing for approval, and closing out change requests in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with design consultants, MEP contractors, subcontractors and T&C consultants to ensure timely submission, review and approval of drawings, RFIs and technical submittals.
  • Maintain and regularly update document control trackers/registers (drawing status, RFI log, submittal log, change log, NCR log) and provide progress reports to the Senior MEP Manager.
  • Ensure all as-built documentation, QA/QC records, testing & commissioning certificates and compliance documents are accurately compiled, verified and archived.
  • Audit document control practices of contractors/subcontractors to ensure compliance with project document control and change management procedures.
  • Support certification of running bills by ensuring supporting documentation is complete, accurate and traceable.
  • Actively champion and comply with policies and procedures related to workplace health & safety, information security, environmental, quality, energy management systems, incident management, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

 

The successful candidate:

 

  • B.Tech Degree (Electrical/Mechanical) or equivalent, with minimum 8 years of experience in document control and/or change management, with at least 3 years in a data centre or large-scale MEP construction project.
  • Strong working knowledge of EDMS/document control platforms (e.g., Aconex, Procore, SharePoint-based systems) and change management processes.
  • Good understanding of MEPF documentation requirements — drawings, RFIs, ITPs, submittals, T&C records and as-built documentation.
  • Good knowledge of latest data centre/hyperscale standards preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage high volumes of documentation under tight timelines.
  • Good spoken & written communication skills are essential.
