What we need:
Digital Edge is seeking an experienced Country Solutions Engineer (Hyperscale) to support and drive technical engagements with hyperscale customers in Indonesia. This role will be responsible for delivering high-quality, consistent, and scalable technical solutions aligned with Digital Edge’s platform standards, while supporting complex solutioning cycles across large, strategic deals.
The ideal candidate is a strong technical practitioner with deep data centre domain expertise, proven hyperscale customer engagement experience, and the ability to translate customer requirements into commercially viable, technically robust solutions. This individual will play a critical role in bridging customer needs with Digital Edge’s engineering, product, and delivery teams.
This role will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Key responsibilities:
1. Hyperscale Technical Engagement & Deal Support
- Act as the primary in-country technical interface for hyperscale customers
- Support technical engagement across RFI / RFQ / RFP processes
- Contribute to shaping solutions that meet customer workload requirements while aligning with platform standards
- Support technical discussions, clarifications, and workshops with customer engineering teams
- Maintain awareness of hyperscale requirements, capacity needs, and evolving AI / high-density workloads
2. Technical Solutioning & Pre-Sales Execution
- Translate customer requirements into scalable, cost-efficient data centre solutions covering space, power, cooling, and redundancy
- Develop technical deliverables including layouts, capacity models, technical proposals, and supporting documentation
- Ensure solutions align with Digital Edge’s reference designs, standards, and product frameworks
- Support cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Engineering, Cost, and Product teams during solution development
- Contribute to continuous improvement of solutioning templates, tools, and processes
3. Design Alignment & Delivery Support
- Act as the custodian of customer technical requirements during early design phases
- Ensure accurate handover of technical intent to Design and Delivery teams
- Support clarification of requirements during design development and implementation
- Assist in managing changes to customer requirements with clear documentation and communication
- Provide support during customer engagements through design and early delivery stages
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Sales teams to support technically sound and commercially viable deals
- Work with Engineering and Operations teams to validate feasibility, capacity, and technical constraints
- Ensure alignment with safety, compliance, and operational standards
- Support coordination across internal stakeholders to ensure consistency and quality of solutions
5. Market & Technical Expertise
- Maintain strong technical knowledge across data centre M&E infrastructure, including power, cooling, and connectivity
- Stay updated on hyperscale design standards, high-density deployments, and liquid cooling trends
- Develop understanding of local Indonesia market constraints including power availability, regulations, and supply chain considerations
- Contribute insights to improve solution competitiveness and customer value proposition
The successful candidate:
- 10+ years of experience in data centre engineering, solutions engineering, technical pre-sales, or infrastructure architecture
- Strong background in data centre M&E systems, including power, cooling, redundancy design, and capacity planning
- Proven experience supporting hyperscale or large-scale cloud customers in a technical pre-sales or engineering role
- Experience working on RFP/RFQ processes and developing technical solutions for complex infrastructure deals
- Solid understanding of data centre standards such as TIA-942, Uptime Institute, and relevant regulatory frameworks
- Familiarity with high-density workloads, AI infrastructure requirements, and liquid cooling technologies is preferred
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across customer and internal teams
- Ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear, structured solutions and documentation
- Self-driven with the ability to operate independently in a country-level role
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CDCDP, CDCE, Uptime ATS/TOP) are preferred
