What we need:

Reporting to the Director of Commissioning, this role will support the project team during pre-construction and construction to ensure all commissioning standards are applied and provide solutions or workarounds when required and assist the procurement of all long lead equipment (LLE). Oversea travels are required as this role include on-site attendances.

This role will also support the Operations team in customer fit-out works, planned maintenance and equipment replacement works.

This role will also assist the Commissioning Director in updating and governance of commissioning specifications / requirements for the APAC region as well as providing factory verifications / witnessing. This role shall also include project Commissioning Agent selection and management.

Working with the Construction Development team from inception, due diligence, and Basis of Design (BOD) creation to successful close-out and support the customer technical team on all commissioning enquiries to ensure customer commissioning requirements are met.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure all equipment installed during construction is tested in accordance with the commissioning specifications and meets MEP design specifications
• Lead the commissioning team on-site, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
• Interface with construction, engineering, procurement, and client teams to ensure a smooth transition from construction to commissioning and into operations
• Assist in the development of Commissioning standards and requirements for DE, capturing the testing requirement/procedure for the Data center build. 
• Ensure transparency and communication of project delivery timeliness and that quality meets the Company’s design and commissioning standards
• Ensures best practices, continuous improvement, maximization of opportunities and risk management processes are put in place to safeguard the commercial interests of the company
• Assist in developing construction change management and scope management
• Provide commissioning schedule oversight during construction phases
• Work with Commissioning Agents at APAC portfolio level for compliance and consistency
• Commissioning Agent selections/awards for construction projects
• Develop and manage internal commissioning tracking tools

The successful candidate:

• Qualifications in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• 8 years+ of relevant professional and project delivery experiences in APAC  
• Subject matter expert knowledge of data center cost and commercials, construction capital projects strategy and supply chain
• Willingness to Travel as Needed
• Strong MS Excel, Words, Project and PowerPoint skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
• Flexible, agile, and forward thinker who thrives on continuous change of direction

Independent decision-maker who takes communicates their own ownership and accountability

Knowledge of financial aspects of contracting business and program build reporting
