What we need:

This role is critical in driving market expansion through the creation of a new sales pipeline. You will be responsible for identifying high-value enterprise prospects and generating high-quality sales opportunities through outbound activities, providing robust support for the Account Executive (AE) team to achieve revenue targets. You will act as a strategic partner, offering customers their first step into the future of digital infrastructure.

 

This role will be based in Tokyo, Japan.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

    • Strategic Prospecting: Identify and target high-value enterprise clients, leveraging phone, email, and social selling to engage with key decision-makers and create new business opportunities.
    • Lead Qualification: Conduct in-depth needs assessments and initial discovery to understand client business challenges and infrastructure requirements, qualifying leads (MQL/SQL) for a seamless hand-off to the AE.
    • Pipeline Management & SFDC Hygiene: Maintain rigorous records of all sales activities within Salesforce (SFDC) to ensure accurate data for pipeline visibility and forecasting.
    • Market Intelligence & Research: Continuously monitor trends in the data center and AI infrastructure sectors to develop unique, competitive pitches based on Digital Edge’s market advantages.
    • Integrated Sales & Marketing Execution: Partner with Marketing to execute high-touch ABM programs, ensuring outbound efforts align with current campaigns. Work closely with AEs to co-develop entry strategies for high-priority enterprise accounts and coordinate with Sales Operations to maintain rigorous SFDC hygiene for accurate funnel tracking

 

Actively champion and implement the organization’s policies on health & safety, environment, energy, quality, information security, and business continuity, ensuring adherence to incident reporting, legal, and regulatory requirements. 

 

The successful candidate:

 

    • Professional Experience: 2+ years of experience in B2B sales or inside sales (SDR/BDR roles), preferably within the IDC, Cloud, or IT Infrastructure sectors.
    • CRM Proficiency: Expertise in managing sales activities via Salesforce (SFDC). We are looking for a candidate who consistently places SFDC at the center of their daily workflow to track progress and drive disciplined execution.
    • Analytical & Research Skills: Proven ability to analyze complex organizational structures within target companies and identify optimal contact points.
    • Communication: Fluent in both Japanese and English for seamless global collaboration and sharing best practices with international teams.
    • Attributes: A self-motivated, result-driven "team player" with a Grit mindset, capable of persistently pursuing targets and overcoming challenges.
