What we need:

 

Reporting to Director (DC Network & BMS), you will own and standardize our BMS infrastructure, network monitoring frameworks, control systems, and Data Center PUE methodologies across our global data center portfolio. You will also serve as the primary BMS subject matter expert, delivering technical support services to our Country Operations teams to ensure the reliability and performance of our critical infrastructure. This role will be based in Singapore.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Perform preliminary energy audits and analysis on data of major consuming equipment or system; and provide recommendations on potential energy conservation measures, opportunities and financial assessments on an annual basis
  • Lead and participate in design, construction, and commissioning of data center BMS projects
  • Interpret and assess engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for BMS and Control projects
  • Establish BMS standards, design guidelines, and best practices across all data center sites to ensure consistency and scalability
  • Review and manage BMS point lists across Electrical, Mechanical, Fire Protection, and Control systems
  • Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols including BACnet, Modbus, OPC, OPC-UA, and SNMP
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex BMS and Control System issues, minimizing impact to critical infrastructure
  • Develop and execute BMS replacement and upgrade strategies with minimal disruption to infrastructure monitoring
  • Develop and maintain BMS operational and preventive maintenance scopes, SOPs, and schedules
  • Maintain accurate BMS documentation, including configurations, diagrams, and control sequences
  • Apply knowledge of heating/cooling load calculations and Data Center PUE methodologies to support energy efficiency initiatives
  • Conduct annual energy audits and analysis, delivering recommendations on conservation measures and financial assessments
  • Leverage data analytics to identify performance trends, predict equipment failures, and drive proactive maintenance strategies
  • Quantify and report energy savings and efficiency gains achieved through BMS optimizations against defined KPIs
  • Automate BMS data integration with Digital Edge Platform Reporting System for critical infrastructure alert management and ROC escalation
  • Lead the integration of BMS with DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) platforms to provide a unified view of critical infrastructure
  • Define and own the BMS technology roadmap for the data center portfolio, aligning with business growth and operational objectives
  • Develop and maintain BMS cybersecurity frameworks, ensuring OT/IT network segmentation and compliance with industry security standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Engineering, IT, Construction) as BMS subject matter expert
  • Own customer BMS integration and data publishing, bridging internal teams and customers to ensure seamless delivery
  • Manage BMS vendor and contractor, including contract negotiations, SLA enforcement, and performance reviews
  • Act as the primary technical liaison between internal stakeholders and external consultants during major projects

 

The successful candidate:

 

  • Diploma / bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical or computer engineering
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in the Data Centre operations / support
  • Knowledge of Date center infrastructure facilities equivalent to CDCP or CDFOM
  • Extensive knowledge of multiple facets of controls engineering / BMS systems
  • Have relevant work experience in data center operations, BMS monitoring of infrastructure and alarms generation.
  • Good communication, interpersonal skills and ability to manage cross-cultural environment/ language barriers
  • Self-motivated, independent, positive, and able to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Able to lead internal and/or external discussions with vendors
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experienced in Networking and troubleshooting
  • Ability to respond to issues and provide timely updates and escalations if needed
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Fluent in oral and written English.
