Associate Principle – Inventory Asset Management

What we need:

Reporting to the VP of Supply Chain and working closely with the Chief Product Officer, you will be responsible for leading end‑to‑end logistics, asset lifecycle management, and inventory governance for all data center operations across the region. The role collaborates closely with Data Center Operations, Engineering, Network, Security, and Logistics partners to maintain high standards of operational efficiency, compliance, and asset integrity, to ensure full operational readiness across data center, warehouse, and integration environments.

 

The role is a pivotal point for asset and supply chain operations across the regions and drives strategic improvements, ensures audit and compliance integrity, and partners with cross‑functional leaders to maintain asset accuracy, operational continuity, and financial accountability. The role is based in Singapore.

 

Key responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Regional Operational Leadership:

 

Develop and execute the regional strategy for data center logistics, inventory management, and asset lifecycle operations, aligned with global supply chain and infrastructure objectives.

Lead regional initiatives to optimize asset utilization, reduce operational risk, and improve data accuracy across physical and financial systems. Anticipate infrastructure demand and operational requirements, ensuring adequate capacity, resources, and inventory positioning across all regional sites. 

Drive operational excellence through standardization, continuous improvement, and adoption of best practices.

 

Stakeholder Engagement & Alignment:

 

Serve as the primary escalation point for all regional asset and supply chain operational matters. 

Partner with cross‑functional leaders (Datacenter Operations, Engineering, Network, Security, Platform teams) to ensure alignment on asset accuracy, deployment schedules, and incident response. Provide executivelevel updates on operational performance, risks, and regional capability needs.

 

Strategic Sourcing & Logistics Partnership Management:

 

Influence sourcing strategies by providing regional demand insights, inventory trends, and supplier performance data to global category and procurement teams. Oversee logistics execution across system integrators, data centers, warehouses, and logistics service providers to ensure reliable and costeffective delivery operations. Strengthen supplier partnerships and hold logistics partners accountable to service, accuracy, and performance standards.

 

EndtoEnd Asset Lifecycle & LongLead Operations:

 

Oversee inbound receiving, intersite transfers, asset deployment, stock distribution, and decommissioning across the regional data center sites. Ensure complete accuracy of asset records across physical inventories, system repositories, and financial systems. Optimize longlead equipment planning and site readiness by coordinating with engineering and operations on deployment forecasts and capacity.

 

Regional Risk Management & Operational Resilience:

 

Identify structural and operational risks across the asset supply chain and implement mitigation plans covering accuracy gaps, supplier performance risks, and inventory shortfalls.

Lead resolution of discrepancies between physical counts, system data, and financial asset ledgers and drive longterm process improvements.

Strengthen business continuity capabilities through inventory strategy, critical spares readiness, and operational playbooks.

 

CrossFunctional Leadership & Process Governance:

Partner with crossfunctional teams to implement process changes, manage assetrelated incidents, and support engineering and operational upgrades.

Influence crossfunctional teams to close process gaps, standardize workflows, and improve regional governance around asset management.

Regional Operations Oversight:

Provide leadership and direction to regional asset management teams and ensure consistent execution across all data center and warehouse locations. Oversee resource allocation, site coverage models, and operational prioritization across the region. Ensure strong coordination between warehouses, logistics partners, and data center facilities.

Compliance, Audit Management & Financial Governance:

Own regional compliance with all asset management, financial controls, and inventory governance requirements. Lead cycle count programs, asset verification drives, and support external and internal audits with high levels of accuracy. Ensure regional execution aligns with global policies and standards.

Reporting, Analytics & Performance Visibility:

Deliver regional performance dashboards, discrepancy analyses, operational KPIs, and capacity reports to leadership. Use data insights to recommend regional improvements, mitigate risks, and support budget planning and forecasting. Ensure asset data integrity across all systems and tools.

Leadership & Team Development:

Grow and develop a high performing regional team of Data Center Asset Engineers and supervisors in the future. Strengthen capability across the region through training, development planning, and continuous improvement culture. Foster collaboration between in-

country teams to ensure consistent performance and knowledge sharing.

 

Health, Safety & Ethical Operations:

Champion operational safety, information security, and responsible asset handling across all regional locations. Ensure ethical and compliant execution in all logistics, warehouse, and asset management activities. Promote environmentally responsible handling and disposal of data center equipment.

Actively champion and implement the organization’s policies on health & safety, environment, energy, quality, information security, and business continuity, ensuring adherence to incident reporting, legal, and regulatory requirements.

 

 

The successful candidate:

  • Experience:
    15+ years of experience in data center, supply chain, logistics, or asset management, with increasing leadership responsibility. Demonstrated experience leading multi
    country operational teams.

Strong ability to work with senior internal and external stakeholders across geographies.

Proven track record operating in a fastpaced, ambiguous, handson environment.

  • Industry Knowledge:
    Familiarity with construction procurement practices and equipment requirements specific to data center development and operations.

Expertise in asset operations including receiving, transfers, inventory control, and RMA workflows. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and drive databased decisions.

  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or a related field
    • Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS, PMP) is a plus
