What we need:

 

Reporting to the Corporate Development Associate Director and dotted to Finance Director in Korea, this role will manage greenfield projects (especially project budget and payments), map current and planned new data centers, demand requirements by customers, approach towards structure and licensing, and other tasks to be identified by Digital Edge. This role will be based in Seoul, Korea.

 

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Lead project management and budget management for greenfield and retrofit projects by managing and assisting site development, construction, approval processes, supplier relationships, payments, and other tasks during the development phase
  • Lead preparation of annual P&L and project capex budgets, and subsequent analysis and reporting of performance against budget
  • Lead cash management through near-term cash flow projections and support day-to-day financial operations
  • Lead debt facility and lender management, including preparation of drawdown requests, payment requests, financial covenants, and information covenants
  • Lead development of financial models and business cases for existing and new sites
  • Assist evaluation of greenfield or brownfield opportunities and potential partners by conducting due diligence on businesses, financial conditions, etc.
  • Assist negotiating with sellers and potential partners in respect of various transaction agreements as well as debt financing agreements
  • Support monitoring and enforcing tax compliance, adherence with Group and KGAAP accounting policies and other regulatory requirements
  • Perform such other services as may be requested by Digital Edge from time to time which may be considered reasonable or necessary in relation to other digital infrastructure opportunities in Korea.
  • Actively champion and comply with policies and procedures related to workplace health & safety, information security, environmental quality, and energy management systems, incident management, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

 

 

The successful candidate:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field
  • 5+ years analytical work and relevant investment / transaction execution experience at an investment bank, strategy consulting firm, or in corporate M&A department of a Telecom and/or Data Center company
  • Individuals be able to handle high end, complex projects with exposure to C-level management; evaluation of partners and other strategic initiatives
  • Monitor and manage existing investment portfolio and execute approved investment strategy and plans
  • Considerable knowledge of Data Center services
  • Ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas
  • Excellent problem solving, project management, facilitation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal Korean and English
