What we need:

 

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will work with colleagues to monitor

Data Centre operations and accomplish tickets within SLA and will undertake for the most part

routine, simple tasks such as responding to clients’ request and daily monitoring routine. This role

will be based in Binan, Laguna, Philippines.

 

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Manages and oversees the daily operation of mechanical, electrical, IT, emergency, and fire protection infrastructure.
  • Ensure 24/7 operation for power, cooling, and connectivity within the SLA.
  • Apply sustainable energy conservation practices.
  • Racks and stacks customer equipment. Perform IT equipment installation to racks, burn testing of equipment, rack installation and levelling.
  • Monitor and manage customer service tickets for provisioning, remote hands support, incidents, facility access, and deliveries.
  • Assist clients and conduct site tours.
  • Supervise and oversee project related activities involving safety requirements and critical equipment systems.
  • Prepare project requests for proposals and assess vendor submissions.
  • Installs/Tests/Modifies/troubleshoots cross connects per SOPs and ensures proper cable management for fiber, twisted pair copper, coax and intra-building cross connects
  • Installs and tests cross connects circuits (switched, multiplexed, etc.)
  • Ensures test results are aligned with industry standards.
  • Maintains detailed written records of all work activity
  • Build, assess and continually improve internal and externally-facing controlled documentation
  • Develop reliability reports to assist in identifying areas of concern that could develop into future problems.  
  • Daily walk-through of Facility documenting parameters such as power availability, temperature and humidity, alarm status, etc. to be catalogued and compared for identification of discrepancies and trends.  
  • Finishes the assigned task and training in a timely manner
  • Responsible for monitoring customer applications and DE’s operational architecture
  • Respond to alarms in accordance with DE procedures
  • Actively champion and implement policies and procedures for occupational health & safety in the workplace, information security management, environmental management systems; incident management; and comply with all legal regulatory requirements of the organization.

 

The successful candidate:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Must be a Registered Electrical/Mechanical Engineer License.
  • Preferably with 1 year of work experience.
  • Basic knowledge of all Data Center critical equipment.
  • Basic understanding of how to read and make MEPF load schedules and plans.
  • Basic understanding of Building operations.
